About Doron Hanoch

A Journey of Mastery, Mindfulness & Leadership

Doron Hanoch has spent over 30 years exploring one question:
what actually creates real change?

His path took him through India, Nepal, Tibet, Japan, and Thailand—training in Zen, Vipassana, and traditional yoga, learning not only through study, but through direct experience.

But his life wasn’t only lived in retreat.

He built and ran a successful photography business in New York, working at a high level—before realizing that external success without inner clarity doesn’t hold.

That turning point shaped his work.

Today, Doron teaches a method that is:

  • Rooted in tradition, but applied to real life
  • Structured, but adaptable to the individual
  • Direct, practical, and results-oriented

He has trained teachers worldwide, authored multiple books, and built a yoga retreat center from the ground up—combining practice, leadership, and business into one integrated path.

Why Doron Yoga?

Why Doron Yoga?

Imagine a Ferrari without wheels—a powerful machine, yet unable to move. Or a monk who has mastered stillness but cannot apply it to daily life.

Yoga is the same. Strength without flexibility. Wisdom without action. A practice without deeper awareness.

Doron Yoga™ is a holistic system that activates body, mind, and consciousness through:

  • The physical discipline of Ashtanga Vinyasa
  • The clarity of Zen mind training
  • The practical science of Ayurveda, neuroscience, nutrition, and breathwork

Doron is committed to elevating yoga teachers into leaders—mastering their practice, teaching, and business.

Mastery Through Practice

Doron’s philosophy is clear: tradition alone is not enough—wisdom must be applied.

He developed the Doron Yoga™ sequencing system, a structured yet adaptable method that blends ancient practices with modern scientific research. He also introduced the Flexitarian Method, recognizing that each person’s path to health is unique and should be tailored to their needs.

His approach is:

  • Rooted in tradition, guided by science
  • Non-dogmatic, efficient, and deeply practical
  • Infused with humor, discipline, and compassion

His goal is not just to teach yoga—but to create a lifestyle of presence, awareness, and resilience.

The Heart of It All

Doron believes that yoga is not about perfecting poses, but about refining presence.

It’s about mastery—not of the body, but of awareness.

“A monk once asked his teacher, ‘What is Zen?’ The teacher replied, ‘Wash your bowl.’ The lesson? Enlightenment is not separate from daily life. Awareness is found in action. Yoga is not something you do—it is how you live.”

Deep gratitude to the teachers, students, and seekers who continue this journey with me. May we all refine our awareness and master our lives.
